a memo
Any interest in a Phone Channel?
You call in from your cellphone or whatever, and you leave a message as an mp3 on the server. You can get it back anytime you want (it sends a link to your phone). It goes into the server's playlist, so we can listen to all the messages on a repeating loop. The trick is making it entertaining, I'm just the engineer.
Individual contributions by talented people = collective programming, distributed worldwide. And distribution *is* the market, you people.
So yeah, anyone up for audio journaling?
Sing in it. Make funny noises. Say hi from a nightclub in Paris. If you're a musician, get on and jam. Cmon, make a little noise. You can't upload, you can only call in, and tracks that might encur royalties are off limits. There's a post-recording EULA for anyone who isn't on the callerid, you have to press 1 agreeing to terms or the post gets moderated Sorry, is that too specific?
Anway, I want to make one, because I want to use it. And there are all kinds of commercial uses for voice message boards, it's early radio all over again, but without the limited spectrum.
