This drove me crazy -- how do I set my iChat Buddy Icon to some other 48x48 graphic, like you can do with any other AIM implementation?
Turns out to be remarkably stoopid -- just drag a new image onto your existing buddy icon. How much other Mac functionality is subtly hidden like this? Note to self: drag and drop more.
