a tidbit
"I thank God I know who to thank for giving me a cushioned toilet seat!"
So sayeth Benny, the "over-bearing mother-in-law" on the George Lopez Show.
A line that so perfectly captures working class ethos, it made me cry. Wraps up a backstory exposition that began along the lines of "Who do I thank for making me a mother at 16?" and meant to explain, in detail, why she has such a hardass attitude.
Note that I'm probably taking it out of context, but from the snippets I heard on the radio the writing on this show is brilliant.
